E-invoicing in Oman, 2027
Oman's Tax Authority is introducing mandatory e-invoicing for VAT-registered businesses in two phases during 2027. Here's what it means and how CloudTech gets you ready.
Under Tax Authority Decision No. 189/2026, VAT-registered businesses in Oman will issue invoices electronically, in a structured format, through providers licensed by the Tax Authority — instead of paper or PDF invoices.
Each e-invoice is validated and reported, so your invoicing system must be able to produce compliant invoices and connect to a licensed provider.
Phase 1
1 April 2027
VAT-registered businesses with annual supplies above OMR 5 million.
Phase 2
1 October 2027
All other VAT-registered businesses.
